more »A diverse cooking competition, with an immense variety of food, is something great but usual. But when it turns to be a military event, in Russia, it becomes unique. And when you understand that all the vegetables, fruits, animals, jams and canned products are produced by the Russian army, it becomes huge. It reminds us of the history and the social power of the Russian army. Even if it is not for all the population of the biggest country in the world, as it was in the past soviet times, all the Russian army, still one of the biggest of the world, is fed by its own self-produced food.
This event took place in the private military basis of the special squad "Mercury" Interior Troops, in the village of Zhornovka, region of Smolensk, in Russia. 60 top army cooks, divided into units of 4 people in each, were able to please the commander BB Army General Nikolai Rogozhkin with their delicious dishes, bread, desserts. This degustation was, of course, interspersed with military exercises, in an ambience that mixed the strength of the war with the delicacy of the good food.
