At a time when the world media is going through one of the toughest times in its history, 13 photographers from the Portuguese collective Kameraphoto produced a project that challenges the role of the press and the photographic image. Between July 20th and July 26th 2009, each photographer traveled to a different city or territory and worked with a daily newspaper or agency, covering the agenda as set by the staff reporters. The result is "A State of Affairs", an alternative and comparative vision of news that aims to question how everyday life is represented visually, edited and made public.
